         What is Spiritual Direction?  It isn't scary, it's not just
  for Catholics, it's not judgmental, it's all about you and
  transformation as you; a directee, and I, as a director walk
  along with you on your journey.  I'll listen like no one's ever
  listened to you before, we'll have a time for silence, and
  then we'll go to God in prayer and wait for the Holy Spirit to
  reveal His direction.  
       Who goes to spiritual direction?  If you've ever desired
  to have a more intimate relationship with God then you
  might want to try spiritual direction.  Are you burnt out
  from helping others?  You're there for others but who's
  there for you?  Are you trying to discern some difficult
  situation in your life and you really want God's  blessing on
  your decision?  Ever thought maybe; I'm not in control?
       Why should I go?  To discern with God the plan He has
  chosen for your life.  Have you ever asked Him, "What do
  you  want me to do, which direction should I turn, or what
  is my purpose here on earth?"  
        Congratulations, you've decided it's time to get married!
  What do you really know about this person you've just said,
  "Yes, I'll spend the rest of my life with you?"  Now all you
   have to do is plan a wedding, right?
       Did you know that you save on your marriage license if
   you take a pre-marital counseling course?  Besides that it
   really helps you talk about some issues most likely to occur
   in your marriage and instead of exploding like a bomb later
   you'll already have first hand knowledge of how you may
   handle some of those issues. 
       We leave no grain of sand unturned so they'll be no
   surprises later on.  Friendly, fun, confidential, non-
   threatening, and never boring.  You may learn a lot
   about your future spouse and also about yourself. 
       The time we spend together will also help me write the
   perfect ceremony for you and your future spouse as your
   special day should be about your personal, unique journey

  something about how God's been active in your lives! 
       My favorite verse in the Bible is Philippians 4:13, "I can
  do all things through Christ who stregthens me."

Our Journey Begins...

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. 
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12)."
        Our stories have many chapters throughout our journeys. 
   We're born, we go to school, play sports, have friends, date,
   maybe eventually marry, we have happiness, maybe children,
   joy,  sorrow, maybe divorce, possibly remarriage, health
   issues, and finally death where we'll be reunited with our God
   and  Savior. Our lives are a part of God's great gospel story.
   We are living in His story.  His goal for each of us is
   Ephesians 4:12-13,
          to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the
          body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in
          the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and
          become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the
          fullness of Christ.

Sometimes my decisions lead me down the wrong path. I've realized I cannot do it on my own. Please Father God, I need you and I invite your Holy Spirit to strengthen me and help to discern my purpose. Amen." Invite me to come and speak on, What is spiritual direction?
  2. Hope - Come Along for the Ride
    Ever wonder where God was in your life's journey? Does it seem He was absent at times? Does He care about me? I've lived all my life and so many times I've felt absolutely all alone. Have you ever really looked back over your life? Psalm 33:20-22, "We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us O Lord, even as we put our hope in You."

    Imagine going through 11 surgeries in your lifetime? What about 5 surgeries in the span of exactly 1 year? Why do bad things happen to good people? What keeps one from continuing to get up each and every day instead of turning to other destructive behaviors? Is God really here with me? My favorite Bible verse always gets me through as is written in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

    There's a plaque I read by my bed each day before my feet hit the floor, "Every Day is a Gift From God." (Author Unknown) Know one knows that more than I do. My motto is, "Every Day is Gift from God and what you do with your gift of that day is your gift back to Him." Life is short so make yours count! God is forever true! Romans 11:29, "for God's gifts and His call are irrevocable."
